For
many women, bras are everyday necessities which serve multiple purposes. Yet the benefits of not wearing a bra can
outweigh those of wearing one. Here are 4
reasons you might want to consider ditching them to improve your health:
1) They Don't Really Prevent Sagging
Many
women wear bras to prevent sagging breasts. Yet
that might actually be
counterproductive. A French study from the University Of Franche-Comte looked
at this. It lasted 15 years and looked at women ages 18-35. No correlation was found between wearing a bra and
experiencing less sag. In fact, women who wore bras generally experienced more sag.
2) Not Wearing One Actually Gives You Better Skin Tone
The
same study found something interesting. Of the sample group that wore no bras
they actually experienced better support!
Their breast tissue development was better and had far more tone than those who
did wear bras. Try it and you might be
improving your health. Not wearing a bra might help you avoid skin blemishes
and stretch marks. Better skin tissue equals fewer chances of skin problems.
3) Its Simply More Comfortable
Wearing
a bra can make many women feel downright sore. From leaving marks on their
backs to being irritable this can all be
avoided. Just don't bother wearing that bra! This
results in both less stress and headache. It also leaves you feeling far more
free, comfortable and restricted. Emotional health is no less important than
physical health. Always consider your mental wellbeing. If you aren't wearing
it for your own benefit then don't.
4) Its Good for Your Stomach
It's
very difficult for many women to find the
right bra. Not to mention that they're tight by default. This can be bad for
your eating habits. According to some doctors women who don't wear bras were
less likely to suffer indigestion. Having a lot of acid reflux? Ditch the bra
and see if it helps. The restriction caused by the bra impacts your breathing.
That causes your diaphragm to constrict more which then squeezes your stomach.
In
short, there's a lot to gain from ditching the bra. Try it for a while and see
how it works for you!
